#211 sweet potatoes with orange bitters

this recipe was tasty and unique. i’d never cooked with bitters before. they added a really nice aromatic flavor along with the orange juice, thyme, sage and chili. i wasn’t able to get my sweet poatoes as deeply braised as in the photo, but they were good none the less. my main critque: the recipe was way too stingy with the goat cheese. it needed more so that there was a little tang and savoriness in each bite to balance out the sweetness of the potatoes.
