persian-inspired refresher

inspiration comes from the strangest places. in this case, the idea for a pomegranate/sour cherry/rosewater drink came from instant hotel, the best reality show ever. in one scene they have persian-inspired shots and the house guests loved them. i couldn’t find anything similar on the internet so i just made up my own drink. i didn’t really care to add alcohol, and i wanted something light and refreshing for summer. here is my cocktail:

6 oz club soda (lime flavored is nice)
4 oz pomegranate juice
1 T sour cherry syrup
1 drop rosewater

mix all ingredients and pour over collins glass or similar sized glass filled halfway with ice
