#147 blueberry, almond and lemon cake

No lie, this is my third time making this cake. It was pretty tasty the first two times, but the baking steps are more complicated than average and for some reason I had such a problem following them. The first time my oven was too low and I didn't bake it long enough. The second time I missed the whole part about adding blueberries on top later, I threw them in at the beginning. This time I really followed the directions, which yielded a tender, buttery lemon cake with more evenly dispersed blueberries than the photo suggests. This is a popular recipe, for good reason.
