broccoli slaw

from Smitten Kitchen

What a fantastic recipe, this is really my kind of food; a giant bowl of a healthy vegetable with a couple maybe not so healthy additions to make it super palatable. This is a simple mix of chopped broccoli, red onion, dried cranberry and toasted almond, tossed with a simple but delicious dressing made of buttermilk, mayo, shallot and apple cider vinegar. It’s light and not at all gloopy like some absurd midwestern salads. There is also a great YouTube video where Deb shows how to chop the broccoli, and that makes all the difference.
