#268 asparagus with labneh, brown butter, and burnt lemon

this is probably one of my favorite ottolenghi recipes yet, and that is saying something, given i am 267 recipes in. the combination of labneh, browned butter, bitter burnt lemon and lemon segments is just so good. i used my homemade yogurt to make the labneh, which made it extra good. i forgot to put the lemon peel garnish on, so just pretend it is there. asparagus is fine, but it’s not my favorite vegetable. if this had broccoli on instead it would be 10/10 to me. i didn’t serve it with any bread, but it would be amazing with some pita or sourdough to scoop up the extra sauce.
