#260 brussels sprout and parmesan salad with lemon dressing May 8 Written By Mary B from otk: shelf lovei took a long hiatus from ottolenghi to cook through some recipes from power vegetables, but of course i would come back to my favorite cookbook author. we are getting close to the time when i can actually start using local produce, but in the mean time it’s still the regular grocery store stuff like kale and brussels sprouts. this recipe is basically a more complicated caesar salad, it has all the basic flavors of caesar: lemon, anchovy, garlic, parmesan, but added roasted brussels, basil leaves, onion slices and hazelnuts. all are good additions. i can’t say it tops the original, which is truly one of the most perfect foods out there, but i did enjoy making and eating this one.
