#101 roasted sweet potatoes & fresh figs

I have been waiting to make this one until figs were in season. It is the very first recipe in the Jerusalem cookbook. The combination struck me as a little unusual because figs are so summery to me and sweet potatoes make me think of Thanksgiving. Of course, it ended up working. Garnished with sauteed green onion, red chili and balsamic glaze, this was a very simple dish to throw together for lunch.
