#100 fig salad

from Plenty More

Yes, I've made 100 Ottolenghi recipes! Almost a year ago, I made my first proper Ottolenghi recipe, and since then I've acquired many usual pantry items and tried all kinds of new vegetables and cooking techniques. I'd never cooked with celery root, Jerusalem artichoke, manouri cheese chervil, black garlic, dried lime, fava beans, freekeh or urfa chili flakes pre-Ottolenghi, to name a few.

For my hundredth recipe I made this delicious fig salad. I would never think the combined onion and fig, but per the recipe I roasted these sweet little red onions from the farmers market, combined with fig, radicchio, watercress, crushed toasted hazelnut and a cinnamon balsamic dressing. Definitely recommend this recipe if you can find some sweet summer figs!
