#220 kalbi butter noodles with spring onions and sesame seeds

from otk: extra good things

ooof, this was GOOD. i ate it for literally three meals in a row, probably a record. it’s so, so simple but the flavor is addictive. aleppo, soy sauce and brown sugar are cooked down into a syrup, then blended with ginger, garlic, fresno chili, green onion and tons of butter. this mixture is tossed with some noodles and green onion, topped with sesame seeds, and voila: a delicious, fusiony, indulgent bowl of noodles. j is out of town, but i’m saving the rest for him to likely slather on a steak. also: i used about half of the compound butter called for in each plate of noodles and it was still delicious. okay go make this now.
