chocolate chip cookies

these are very good chocolate chip cookies! the best ever? not sure. i really love the simplicity of the ones from butter and brioche, but these ones are certainly up there. they didn’t call for flakey salt on top, and they absolutely needed it. i did love the technique of sticking large pieces on top so that you can see big chunks of chocolate on top. this is the first bake i brought to work after about 8 months at north, which is crazy. i have really been out of the baking game for a while.
