#186 sticky sweet and sour plums and sausages

from shelf love

i made this recipe, along with about a dozen others, when my mom was in town, and this was her very favorite. it took a long time to bake the ingredients; much longer for me than the recipe directed, adding in stages, until they all came together in a sticky, sour casserole like dish. main flavorings include garlic, red onion, sumac, parsley, rosemary, pomegranate molasses and plums. i used beyond sausage instead of whatever was recommended. i feel that i succeeded in making something that looks so close to the photo in the book. i imagine you are supposed to eat this with a knife and fork, but i stuck these on homemade honey potato buns and served the plums, onion and potato on the side. super good!
