#227 romano pepper schnitzels

from flavor

these were a whole afternoon of cooking. first you make the marie rose sauce (apparently a thing in england), out of mayo and roasted garlic, chili and tomato. then you roast the peppers, peel them, dredge and fry them. some of the skins came off my peppers easily, while others were a bit more sticky. we enjoyed this dish, but i felt like it was too much work for something that didn’t really make a meal on its own.
