i haven’t actually gotten to try the much hyped levain cookies from new york, but this bakery channel on youtube has recipes for variations on this cookie that sound more delicious than the real deal. i already tried the red velvet version, which was a hit, but didn’t get a chance to photograph them. this birthday cake version is pretty dang delicious, not only is it chock full of white chocolate, it also has homemade caramelized white chocolate which tastes pretty amazing. i sent these to work with j so we wouldn’t overeat them. he calls them “thick behind cookies” because they are so large and dense. i highly recommend checking out this recipe! my only mod is that i cooked them at 375° for about 19-20 minutes to get them fully done, like they looked in the video.
