#244 sweet winter slaw

i made this on new years eve - a mix of shredded savoy and purple cabbage, papaya, mango, red chili, cilantro, and mint, tossed with a dressing infused with lemongrass and topped with spicy candied macadamia nuts. a bit of effort, but nothing too hard. i halved the amount of sesame oil, but even then i found the flavor didn’t quite fit - i’d recommend omitting it all together. otherwise this was a nice bright dish in contrast to many others from the season. jared enjoyed the macadamia nuts so much, i had to make a separate batch for him to snack on.
