#50 saffron, date and almond rice

OMG. Now this was good. Not a light dish at all, with a half a cup butter, 2/3 a cup of almonds and two whole cups of dried rice. But the flavor is excellent. The saffron SHINES. Like taking a bite into a sunny day. I've never done the whole towel under the lid cooking method that is so common in Persian cooking, but it was super simple to pull off. I highly recommend it if a sweet, rich rice dish sounds up your alley.
