the #2 best new sandwich in america in 2012 according to the huffington post

from a super upsetting book about sandwiches

it’s been almost two years since i got a new cookbook, but i found one worthy of adding to my bookshelf. the writing is silly and the headnotes have all kinds of non-recipe musings, and the actual sandwiches sound so good. the first one i made was this cauliflower sandwich, which has roasted cauliflower, raisin and scallion relish, french dressing and potato chips. it was so many delicious flavors and textures together, i loved it. we have used the leftover components in various ways on other sandwiches too. the notes say the relish is delicious on hot dogs with mustard, and we will have to try that soon. i can’t wait to make more sandos from this book.
