#70 saffron cauliflower
from Plenty
The name says it all, this dish's predominant flavor is saffron. When I was checking out at the grocery store today, the cashier asked me what saffron tastes like, and I was stumped because I really can't think of anything else that tastes similar. "Well it turns bright yellow," I said, not so helpful. Let me know if you have a good description for saffron.
In general I try to make recipes as close to written as possible, but I do have at least one exception. I hate olives, and this dish called for them. Overall I did feel like there was a little something missing, which is maybe what olives would have added. The texture was delicious and I loved how sweet the onions and raisins became after 45 minutes in the oven.
