westville inspired kale salad

i saw this salad on youtube shorts, and thought it sounded easy enough to make. i ended up adding it to our christmas menu (along with latkes, mac and cheese, deviled eggs and lots of sugar cookies and brownies). i made pickled onions and my go to french dressing, and then massaged it into kale, topped the salad with blue cheese, candied walnuts, pepitas and dried cherries. everyone liked it but said it was best the next day.
